Ruby Ayres was born in Watford, England, the third daughter of London-based architect, Ruby Ayres became one of the most prolific romantic novelists of the twentieth century. During her 40 year writing career she wrote 150 novels, all of them romance novels featuring wealthy heroines and rich gentlemen.
Those novels sold a total of eight million copies.
